Small channel challenge
hi all it is not a simple task but I need to fabricate the following structure: Channel: design3c.tif Enclosed view of the 50x50um part: design3c2.tif It is a microfluidic channel (master, it will be molded later), with various width, average thickness is 0.4mm. There is a small part of 0.05x0.05mm ...

Re: Printer "seriously" damaged after my second test print!
I tested many resins... I could not believe you could heat enought to at least reach 50 or 60°... I'm working on a R&D center in science and engineering. Photoactive iniator inside resin shall be destroyed at a temperature higher than 120-150°C. The only solution I see is the FTD cured element h...

Re: FTD deep black, uv filter and profile questions
Or if you can accept orange color you can directly go for the solus proto resin.
It will save you a lot of time.
In any case be careful of the film. I saw your post and the film was certainly damaged.
Good luck

Re: FTD deep black, uv filter and profile questions
Hi I had also removed the UV filter. My lamp is maybe close to its life end but I had to expose about 2800ms with 42xy. I'm prefering using SPOT-A HT with black pigment than the FTD... I don't know if there is a big difference in term of material properties like hardness or max temperature supported...

Lattice structure
I had played a bit with my solus and I did a 0.2mm thick lattice structure.
It is flexible but resistant. 3 more letters and I m done for a logo.

Re: resin vat cleaning?
i see what you mean, after only cleaning the vat 2 times times with alcohol, im now seeing hairline cracking in all 4 corners of the vat, now im worried the vat integrity has been compromised. I really havnt used my printer much at all yet, i bought it at a very busy time and havnt had much time to...

Re: Introducing the SolusProto Resin!
Do you need have any typical technical data like hardness?
I think I might have receive a paper version of the MSDS with the bottle but do you have a link for a pdf version?
Thanks.

Large print
Hi all I had to print a very big piece, 111mm length. So I decice to tilt in to have it fitting in the build volume. But I'm having an issue. I was only able to get a XY surface of 72x42mm (38xy resolution), the projected image on the quartz is not center. I tried to adjust the projector but not suf...

Some ceramic prints
So here it is some printing with the porcelite resin in 38xy. ephj1.jpg Minimum structures I had achieved was 0.15mm. I did some first trial of firing up to 1150°C. I measured a shrinking of about 20% leading to warping of the surface, but not cracks and smooth surface. The color at the end is a nic...

Big parts
Hi all I'm having a project to fabricate large parts. The part is 11cm length. I tried to tilt as maximum possible as shawn on the pictures below. 20160614_085843-compressed.jpg 20160614_085630-compressed.jpg In the software the parts were fitting but at the end I was missing several millimeters. My...
