I also set my flasks overnight, water ratio 38/100 and always cure the emerald first microwave and uv minimum all nigth. For investing the flask I use a st. louise machine. For the next casting I´m thinking about change the flasks settig during burnout bottom up and also change the position of sprue...

My problem with plasticast investment is that sometimes engravings broke and detach from the flask. I also tried to add a boric-water to the investment to strengthen it. And yes the investment was hardener, and almost becomes a rock, I need a hammer and a chisel to break it,jajaja, that´s a joke. An...

Thank you Jewelermdt, I was happy with Plasticast but in a few pieces with engravings I found loose investment parts and the engravings filled in.I tried add wter with boric with same result. I recive right now a bag of prestige, I switch from platicast. What burnout did you use for this investment? can I use the same ramps? The burnout official info for prestige looks very agresive.Thanks in advance.

I have an indutherm and they recomend to use the crucible maximum of 5 times.
With gold castings I reuse part of the metal from other castings, but platinum is more tricky, so we always cast with new platinum.
