Re: Guide To SolusCast?
I follow Jordi’s (Micron3d) video method but without the plastic spacer. Screw the tank down nice and tight with the thumb screws - I think that’s the key. https://youtu.be/ooT3KamfdrI I also write ‘front’ on the front side of the tank, so that it’s always placed in the same orientation. This method...

Re: Guide To SolusCast?
I was initially having the same issues with SolusCast on standard setting. Moving the light intensity up to max, adding a second to settle time and an extra mm to lift height solved all problems. I hardly ever get fails. Although I do also replace my film differently than the advised method 8-) Ps -...

Re: Z lift speed
Don't get lift and tilt speeds confused. Z lift if how fast the build plate vertically lifts from the film/tank, but before this it tilts. You can only change the tilt speed by adjusting the profile file in the profiles folder. When I've had issue with builds failing, reducing the tilt speed helps ...

Re: can i pour unused resin back in the bottle?
When you are not using the printer, just place a bit of card or the orange plastic uv rectangle, that came with the printer, in front of the window at the front bottom of your machine. This will prevent natural light or light your projector hitting the mirror inside the Solus and curing the resin fo...

Re: Vat leaking
I second the alu vats. Especially if you use Proto. I also find that the rigidity of the alu vat helps with attaining and maintaining the correct film tension.

Re: Emerald prints cracking in microwave
Thanks for the link to the light. Are you using the 20 or 50 watt model?
And I assume when you put the models in the oven, you immerse them in water?

Emerald prints cracking in microwave
Recently, I've been having an issue of Emerald resin prints cracking/fracturing, when curing in the microwave. My current post cure procedure is to cure in nail uv chamber, under water, generally over night. Then to microwave on half power for three cycles of 4 minutes, changing for fresh water betw...
