Re: Z Motor Problem
Hi That's good to hear. A couple of years ago either my cleaner or one of my employees knocked the printer over spilling blue resin everywhere. I cleaned most of it off, but neglected to clean the z-motor wires and connectors. Anyway, I cleaned them yesterday, but one wire broke. Luckily Rik is send...

Z Motor Problem
So I took my Z motor out to clean it - it seemed to have worked and now I can do the homing process without any problems. However, now I am having other issues. The first one being when I do a manual Z movement (say -10) it will go down and then I press -10 again it will go up. Secondly, when printi...

Replacing Arduino Board
Hi
I had a little accident the other day and long story short, the Arduino board in our Solus is toast (and possibly the other board). Would it be OK to replace with another Arduino Uno board?

Re: Print Failures - Tried Everything
OK...problem seems to be solved. I did the following: - Cleaned the inside and outside of the optical surfaces in the printer (projector window, mirror and quartz) with a microfibre cloth and camera lens cleaning fluid. - Increased the base thickness to 0.5mm. - Increased the number of initial layer...

Print Failures - Tried Everything
Hey guys, (Using Solus + Waxcast) A couple of weeks ago some of my prints started failing, and then eventually they all started failing. I then: - Changed the film (and vat FWIW) - Checked the platform calibration - Scuffed up the build platform ..all to no avail. It seemed the bottom layers were pr...
DWS Resin
I'm trying to get the DWS 550 resin to print with the Solus printer. I first tried using the standard Emerald settings, but with a 30 micron layer thickness as this is what I print with our DWS printer. Print didn't go too well and all the negative spaces were filled and mild flashing. My next attem...

Re: Print Not Working
OK, so I changed to a VGA cable and it now works - see attached image (not the best quality image).
I've checked the Solus sample ring STL file and the detail is all there and the measurements are correct.
