Wow. Great design, cast and finish.
Has your casting house cast SolusCAST before?
Could you explain your curing process before sending off for casting?
Thanks

Re: Teardrop pendant warped
1. Have you tried printing 2-3 duplicates of the pendant at the same time? I you are printing in the same location on the build platform each time, you may find there is a bubble/mark on the teflon film in that spot. 2. How is it oriented on the build platform? It's best to orient on the Solus fron...

Re: Casting SolusCast
Thanks rsaldivar. I think Monger or someone posted about this a while ago...That's a good option for anyone casting in-house...I guess if you are outsourcing your castings you could dip your prints in "React-Shun" before sending off for casting :-) Here's the link to their product page - i...

Re: Base Ring support
I used to do a similar thing in Creation Workshop before Solus Contour was released. I would lift the ring up 3-4mm in Z, then in RhinoGold I'd create a 0.3mm base plate, and a 0.3mm wide wedge under the ring. solus-old-supports.jpg Now days I generally place a row of manual supports under the ring ...

Re: can someone help me figure out what this is?
now im starting to think that its a blemish in the film because it seems to appear in the same spot most of the time. If you are printing that item flat, and you have the blemishes appearing in the same spot each time, it is probably a blemish on the film - probably a pit or a dimple where the film...

Re: Upcoming SolusCast resin
This sounds great Emil. I'm interested to see how the casting houses here in Australia get along with it, as I have a long list of customers keen to try it .
Have you decided on a name for the blue resin yet? Maybe something like "Solus Royal Blue" castable resin

Re: Cracked Filter in Projector
I have seen that before. I have the same issue with one of my inFocus projectors and it is still printing ok for over 6-months since I noticed it, so I have never worried about it.
I will email you, I think the printing problem you are having is another issue.

Re: What causes this....
I don't think it is a head calibration issue as the base and supports managed to attached to the build platform. The supports on the right-side look thinner, than the supports in the middle and right side - so it looks like there was not enough contact on the cube which caused it to fail. It looks l...

Re: warped at the top
If you are using either B9 Cherry or Red resin, I would recommend putting some supports down the middle of the inside band like in this image. That is the way I always supported my rings when printing in Cherry/Red as I found the same issue. The resins seem to "stick" more to the vat film ...

Same here guys, and a customer phoned me yesterday with the same issue.
I will email a crashdump file to Mark later today.
