Re: SolusCast Profile - Blue Projector Light?
I was wondering about the blue light too. Thought it was a reflection of the 'inky' resin. Seems it's a little hard to get to print though. If I duplicate the same part 4 times I'm lucky to get 1 or 2, even with new film. I pulled the Solus housing apart and wiped down the mirror and insides of the ...

Contour 1.7 download
Is there a link to download Contour 1.7 somewhere? I searched the forums but cant find anything. Also, is there a FULL offline installer available? My 2 Solus PCs are both off the grid.
Thanks!!
Thanks!!

385nm vs. 405nm wavelength
Anybody know why some resins print at 385 and others at 405? There was an article from BYU that said they're experimenting with 385nm photopolymers because they can achieve much higher detail than 405nm. Would anyone know why that is?
Are raw materials for 405nm polymers cheaper or something?

Re: How to replace film in vat..
Old thread I know... But, the film should look pretty flat against the quartz without any bow in the middle. That's almost like 'calibrating' the film. Then, from there, when you start a job make sure not to overtighten the thumb screws. That allows a tiny bit of 'play' which allows the quartz table...

Re: HDMI splitter
That sounds pretty cool. But, I'm sure that HDMI can be split like that. I might be wrong though. I think it's a little like USB....it gets confused and will just alternate between the 2 for a few seconds as opposed to sharing simultaneously.

Re: Continues projection 3d printing
'Continuous' ? Sortof like the Carbon3D units? It's a whole new beast really. The vat film would have to be oxygen permeable with a small amount of O2 pumped underneath in a closed system. So the vat would have a sealed chamber, with about 1PSI of pure oxygen under the film creating a super slim 'de...

Rapid +TCT
Were you Junction3D guys there? I was there all week and didn't see you. Should have gone because nothing there was even close to the resolution as the Solus....other than Envisiontec perhaps.

Burgundy Resin for TigerHD
Has anybody tried this stuff yet? I want to order a bottle to test with it's literally more expensive than twice the amount of resin for an Envisiontec unit!!

Re: B9 Yellow Castable Resin Testing
Has this resin been proven reliable in the Solus these days? I remember in the beginning people were complaining about it sticking to the film, etc. It seems like this stuff is more cast-friendly than the Emerald or even the Cherry. Am I thinking in the right direction?

Re: Testing out a new resin - What's causing this?
Ah, Z bleed. Makes sense. I'm doing a another test with 1 second as the exposure time to see what happens. Parts are still forming so I know it's not undercuring to the point of not printing. About a month ago I tried some resin from G3D which comes from Europe. They have a yellow castable and an or...
