I have to disagree ! We using these strips from the beginning, for curing the emerald resin, and a lot other resins too. The curing boxes are amazing, right, but with microwave and selfmade curing oven with these stripes works great !! I see the problem in inclomplete burnout as i said at the beginn...

Also i think the temperature of the metal for castting was too high.
We cast with 500C° Flask, and 1050 C° metal temperature.

look, as if your oven was a little bit too cold. Had the same problems with the emerald- Try to go up to 800C° For us that solved the problem. Also the Elephant is relativ thick. So a lot of resin have to burn out. We hold the 800C° for 3 hours, before going down to casting temperature. best regards...
