Re: ResinWorks EasyCastHD castable resin
I've been using EastCastHD for a few weeks now. It prints nice and cast nice, it has replaced B9 Emerald for my printing/casting. If Emerald is an 8/10 EasyCastHD is an 8.5 or 9/10. I do get some sticking to the film occasionally but then I'm using my own settings. When the settings update is out t...

Casting Issue: Gas Porosity?
So I'm pretty new to the whole casting game and this is the first time I've had something like this come up. Looks like there were air pockets in the metal? What usually causes this? Cast using a vacuum machine, perforated metal flask, and smelter to melt the 14kw. Metal was at 1877F and the flask w...

AND please note : We add 2% boric acid to our investmentwater. Everyone said at the beginning : "just don't add boric acid". What shall i say. Our company and a very good friend of mine who is cast for a lot of jewellers use bric acid. Try it - if you don't like it, you can go back to you...

Re: SW shrinks a lot
I'm noticing this as well. I did a side by side comparison with the same ring in emerald. In Contour these were set at the same scale, the only thing I changed was the resin in the vat. Printed the soluswax first, then printed with the emerald, then printed again with the soluswax with a longer expo...

Re: Solus Wax Cure No Cure
My last two white gold castings came out pretty good. Difference was I watched how hot I got my metal before pouring. Don't over heat. I use torch to melt and vacuum cast. Torch is really hit and miss. If you want a constant professional result than get this. https://www.riogrande.com/product/rio-1...

Re: Ben's Prints
Testing the SolusWax. .3mm supports don't want to connect to the model sometimes (you can see with the teeth in the last picture). Prints super smoOoth when it sticks though.

Re: Print Failures - Tried Everything
I'm not able to see the image on my end. But I had a similar problem after replacing my bulb. Turned out that I didnt have the lamp housing all the way back in the right place. I thought I had it back in, but when I opened it back up a second time it locked it. Maybe recheck that your lamp housing i...
