Re: Problem with aspect ratio
I know it has been a year since this thread was relevant, but in case anyone is wondering... If you are familiar with lenses in general, you know that the more "zoom" a lens has, and the larger the aperture, the depth of field decreases. this is why when photographers take a portrait of so...

Re: Calibrating Build Plate -- what kind of paper to use?
i used old film to calibrate mine and never looked back, just curious why you would want to calibrate with something other than the film.

Re: NEW SOLUS SOFTWARE?
after purchasing the software, must updates ever be purchased? if we purchase another machine, is the software included? can one license of the software be used for multiple machines? It's a perpetual license so you'll never need to pay for updates. The software is included in the new price. Since i...

Re: Calibrating Build Plate -- what kind of paper to use?
any reason not to use the film as a spacer?
after the base layers, i'm curious to know how much the 'deck height' of the build plate matters.

Re: [SOLVED] Splashing around base and fail print
i called Infocus about settings randomly reverting, and the tech told me that happened with another projector model, but they had a software fix for it. i asked about an update for my projector, and he said none were available. now it's discontinued. fortunately, my settings don't seem to change any...

Re: Short Lamp Life
I just purchased a new lamp on amazon. i'd like to suggest that you verify everything before you purchase. for instance, this is the lamp for the 8606HD: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00C74URXC/ref=olp_product_details?ie=UTF8&me= if you look at the pic of the ceramic on the lamp, it shows a...

Re: CW platform size
i print supports down to .3, but they are intermediate (the base is connected to the part itself) and they are also short. when i print supports like that, i also make them cylinder all the way, and straight. i use b9 software.

i appreciate the feedback, we just want redundancy and were looking for something that could be better.
i guess my next question would be, what is the best projector option now that the 8606 is discontinued?

Re: Which Alcohol to use for cleaning resin
a lot of people on the B9 forum recommend using water with a drop of dish detergent. (to clean prints with b9 resin) i've started to change my cleaning procedure, though it still involves a quick alcohol rinse, rinse with water, then ultrasonic with water and detergent. the rings do not get as clean...
