Re: [SOLVED] Getting started failed prints
We suggest keeping the bases maximum of 0.3 - 0.5 mm thick. Also, make them reasonably small. You don't need a base the size of the build area, because that will create too much vacuum forces and stretch out the film.

Re: [SOLVED] Getting started failed prints
I wont make mine any larger than the shadow of the item being printed. If you are looking at the model from the top view the base will normally be a oval just big enough to cover the edges of the model on the X and Y axis. I also don't like any bases with sharp corners. Very rarely you will see a rectangle or square base on a piece I print. In fact I think I have only done one sharp corner base since I started printing.

If you have a large base, it's also a good idea to put some openings in it. That will reduce vacuum forces.

Good idea on the base. Bad habit from printing on the Pegasus.
