Failed prints. Pulling my hair out!
OpedHead, most likely supports. I guess meshing errors could cause problems too

A solid support was added at the bottom of the shank and a few extra supports on the ring did the trick. I think once you get a very small failure, flashing occurs and blocks light from other parts of the model causing failures.

Re: Failed prints. Pulling my hair out!
Hi,
I've got a signet ring I'm struggling to print, Usually I have no issues but as this has a large flat plate near the top of the ring I think its catching and sending it off straight.
I've tried tilting the ring slightly but I'm getting distortion on the top section of the ring. Can anyone help with how to support this ring? or any tips on how best to position it etc.
Thanks
James

Since the top is flat, why not print it upside down so that the heaviest part is closest to the build plate?

Re: Failed prints. Pulling my hair out!
The base you have made for the ring is very thin and flimsy. The heavy mass of the ring is not supported well and may have shifted and moved around during printing.

What Emil said. If you are using Contour, put in a ring support from the software. It's usually just right. I would also add supports out to the underside of the furthermost out part of ring.

Hi Alvaro. Check your Z lift speed in Solus Contour. It should be: 75-80 (for B9 Cherry Resin).
