Small issue with z-screw homing

Postby Robert » Wed Nov 29, 2017 1:56 pm

Hey folks,

I've emailed Mark and Jordi about this to see if they know, but I thought I would also ask here in case anyone has already had this issue, or there's something really obvious that I have missed.

Sadly, I tried to run the machine today as usual, but partway through the homing cycle, I think the connection broke and now the z-screw will not home at all. I can manually move it up and down, like you can when the machine is powered down, but I can do this whether there is power, or no power. Very strange.

I've tried taking it apart and having a look, I have also taken the connections off and put them back on but doesn't seem to be working.

Cheers in advance!

Sounds like a bad motor. Or like you said a broken wire-connector.

Could also be a bad motor driver.
