This is a clever idea, no more setting headaches. This is gonna be a truly plug and play printer.

I think an all in one unit caters to what most people want.

I personally however love the component feature of my current Solus. My all in one Asiga looked pretty but it was such a pain if you had issues and the whole unit had to go back.

Is this all in one unit user service friendly Monger? Will the original Solus still be available?

The goal is to make of reliable enough not to need major service like that, but it is easy enough to service the machine in my option.

The original Solus is still available.

Monger if it is anything like my original Solus then I am sure it will be reliable. I am into my 3rd year with the Solus and it has not missed a beat other than Windows updates stuffing up settings.

I am cautious of an all in one unit as my Asiga only lasted 3 years before repair costs were more than the original purchase price.....I gave it away for parts but I believe it is in the rubbish heap after the person I gave it to had their Asiga die as well.

I hope the new machine sells well. I think most people new to 3D printing for whatever reason are more comfortable with an all in one unit.

The film goes on tight like a drum and is tightened in place. No tension to worry about.

Do we will need again a dedicated computer to control the printer or the new Solus is a standalone machine?

Looks to be a standalone machine that you just transfer the Contour files over via usb or WiFi.

It’s stand alone. Everything is built in. The jobs are sent over the network/Wi-Fi to the printer and the print then is started using the built in lcd screen. Also can transfer job files using a usb drive.
