projector settings had changed...

Postby Wdshea » Wed Jan 06, 2016 4:07 am

we've had some issues with print resolution, and in an attempt to weed out all possibilities, we tried 4 different computers. the computers really didn't change much, except for the most powerful computer allowing us to take advantage of anti-aliasing set to 4.

long story short, the settings for the projector had changed "automatically". i don't know why, i know i didn't do it. i feel like i've been chasing my tail, but at least all of our results have been consistent.

thought i'd mention it to y'all just in case you start having issues, double check your projector settings.

The projector can reset its settings, especially if you switch computers.

I found Windows 10 would also change back settings. Took several times changing before they stuck. Also with 10, if you have updates turned off, which you should, it will turn itself back on. Probably not so much if you don't have your computer connected to the internet.

Projector settings can reset of you unplug it from the wall. Or if there is a power surge.

See my post in the private forum for the solution to my resolution issue.

Good to know about power loss... It would be nice if settings would just stick, or they could be saved to a profile.

Strange thing is, only brightness and contrast changed, the other settings were still the same.

This info is great to know, I have recently moved property and noticed prints behaving differently as everything got unplugged and boxed up. What are the recommended settings for the projector, i'm using the Infocus IN8606HD

Thanks, Joe

Hi,

You can set the projector to the same values as in the manual again, but David suggests a couple additional changes:

I haven't tried these yet so it might just work better for his computer.
