Solus like, it is true regarding xy resolution, but a plus for a novice like me is "We’ve also eliminated the complexities of calibrations and tuning so you can spend more time designing & creating" ( https://www.b9c.com/assets/media//b9-co ... re-web.pdf )
However I agree that the price is truly insane.
Re: The new B9C is Here !!
I would rather have 3 Solus Machines!
Re: The new B9C is Here !!
The one thing I like about the idea of the new b9 machine is that it is all enclosed and free standing. I am a sucker for clean design. That being said I won't be buying one any time soon because I am happy with my solus. The new software has made it even nicer. I love what you guys have done with the Contour software. Honestly from my stand point I start my machine before I leave at night and grab the models off in the morning. Then if I need to a do another print first thing. I am not sure I need a machine that is a lot fast and really the solus as been pretty pain free to operate.

Well You have to really to read between the lines. As this Im sure sure was written by a lawyer .They didn't eliminate the calibration as they want to make us believe, the statement insinuate that calibration can be easy now .They eliminated the complexity "We’ve also eliminated the complexities of calibrations".the calibration is still there. To me this is no sense.that kind of machine got to be nicely calibrated . calibration can be seen easy from the maker view point Though extremely hard for us jewelers.
The B9 core though is very expensive.with that price range they got themselves into a slaughtering competition against some reputable 3D printers.

For $ 9,955.00. Hummmmmm.
I already have a Solus set at 25 microns.
With a second Solus set at 42 microns I have control of the resolution and speed.
Yeah, I think I will be getting another Solus 3d printer.

I haven't made a lot of prints since I got my Solus. So I am not an expert.
Eventhough the print quality and the Solus contour supports feature are terrific, my dream would be to get high precision without working on calibration.
Maybe it will be in a future Reify 3D product. But how much would be the additional cost? More than 1000€?
