Continues projection 3d printing
Hi solus team, are you working on any Continues projection 3d printing for faster builds?
Re: Continues projection 3d printing
'Continuous' ? Sortof like the Carbon3D units?
It's a whole new beast really. The vat film would have to be oxygen permeable with a small amount of O2 pumped underneath in a closed system. So the vat would have a sealed chamber, with about 1PSI of pure oxygen under the film creating a super slim 'dead zone' between the inside of the film and the resin material. Oxygen creeps up through the film membrane and maintains a small bubble that the resin rests on.
It's not as easy to accomplish as it seems. Getting the calibrations perfect are super critical. Little to no deviation whatsoever. It can be done...but Junction would almost have to start from scratch...at least I think.
