I was wondering if anyone else has any tiny scratches on their quartz...I just noticed one or two, I don't know how they got there and they are like microscopic..it looked like a couple of small dust particles but they wont wipe off so I assume they are scratches...I havnt used my machine yet much at all and I have been very careful so I don't know how they got there...is this a problem, will it effect my prints?

Re: quartz question
Shouldn't affect your prints. If you notice anything like that affecting your prints in that area, then we can replace the glass. But in my experience it shouldn't affect anything.

Re: quartz question
i just got finished cleaning the projector lens , the window and the quartz , and after removing a fair amount of dust, when i turn on the projector and the quartz becomes illuminated, im starting to think what i thought was a scratch, is actually dust on the inside of the quartz...our factory is a fashion design house and we have embroidery machines running all day that produce a lot of dust, could i have dust on the inside of my machine?? has anyone cleaned the inside before? should it be done?

Re: quartz question
I have cleaned the inside when my quartz broke and resin got inside. Time consuming because you have to take it all apart. Just be sure not to bend the mirror support.

I think this would be almost impossible to do. But you do need to be careful with the surface of the mirror.
