homing cycle doesn't work again

Same problem as last week. Went to print and nothing. Tried again on the old program, nothing. Do you have write up on how to fix this. Don't really want to bother you folks again. Thanks, Robert Hood

Unplug the usb cable, plug it back in. Restart Contour and try again. Try changing the USB port on your pc. Might be a faulty one.

Thanks. Did all that without success. Took the battery out of the laptop and rebooted. Works now. Not sure which worked but much obliged for the quick response. Maybe it was a moment of clarity in my senile dementia! Cheers!

Make sure your USB ports are set to never turn off, go idle in device manager.
Always have laptop set to never go idle, sleep, hibernate.

Having this problem too, even with creation workshop. Was fine before I updated to ver 1.6 on contour.

I can get it to home, but its dead right after. Have to keep replugging the usb. Yes, I've disabled ability to turn off power to usb ports.

Is there a download link for 1.4?

The culprit can be your computer's USB port. Try a different port to troubleshoot. Maybe even a different laptop if you have one, just to test.

It was the same behavior on all the ports. I'll secure back up computer just in case. cheers

Make sure all plugs are in tight. Maybe try a different cable.
