Scale adjustment

Postby Kris-D » Tue May 22, 2018 2:04 am

I just replaced my tilt motor and I'm noticing that the z-axis height seems to be floating a bit. I printed three 10x10x10 test blocks and entered the information into the scale adjustment calculator. The z height seems to be going back and forth. The first time I printed it the z height was 9.63mm the second time it was 10.38 and the third time it went back to 9.63mm. I'm entering the measurement and hitting apply. I have marked the top of the cube with X and Y to keep my alignment correct. Any suggestions on what could be going on? I did just replace my tilt motor.

BTW...i notice when I make the Z-axis scale adjustment it actually raises or lowers my model. I reloaded the file before printing but I wondered if this was normal?

When you adjust the scale, you should reload the model/scene or restart contour.

Z-height can vary if you place the cubes directly on the build plate. Compression and shrinkage from the extra exposure times.

Lift up the cube on supports if you want to measure the Z accurately.

Thank you. No one ever told me that. Is there a video for calibrating the scale using test blocks?

I grew a supported test block this morning and the z height was 10.68mm. I entered that in the scale adjustment box along with the x and y measurements and hit apply. I'll check the results later this afternoon.
