I'm just afraid of the price. B9 new machine is 4x's the price of their start up machine. When I head that machine was coming out I expected 2x's. Guess these things are expensive. The B9 founder said he's taking a loss selling at $10k each machine. I do find that hard to believe.

Lots of companies will take a loss on the hardware and make their money back on supplies if the margin is high. Look at HP and their printers as an example.

Yeah, I guess so plus seems to me resin is the cash cow but still, $10k for a machine just seems high to be taking a loss.

I remember when those machines came out B9 stated "We listen to our customers" (when designing the new machine) I was thinking what freaking idiot said they wanted to pay 4x's what the start B9 machine cost, lol.

The solus iquality print Is way better than the best of what the new B9 can achieve. The old B9 is a total garbage, Owned it, used it, and trash it.

110mm x 62mm build area at 28 microns XY is an amazing thing.
If they figure out a way to get a perfect film tension every time even for beginners to produce Emil like prints, that would be a jackpot.
Also one suggestion, it would be great if they make the new printer dustproof. I keep my Solus in a seperate room away from the workshop but i am struggling with dust entering inside my printer which affects the quality of my prints.
Not easy to open up the printer once a week to clean dust especially when you don't have time.

So the new Solus is coming out Fall 2019?

I had two B9. Hated them.

Bottom line is these are business. Why are businesses in business? To make money.

In the case of B9 it was started to offer people an inexpensive option to the expensive machines but with every improvement they became the expensive machine they started off saving people from. Evolution. Now someone will come up with something they offer to save people from the new expensive machine, lol.
