1st try w scale adjustment

Postby Furqueron » Thu Jun 08, 2017 4:40 pm

10x10x10 cube printed on auto gen supports.

Both prints measured pre UV oven cure.

Circle on front face for orientation, will be changed on next test to allow measurement in mid-cube.

Z measured on both cubes in mid, not outside edges.

Other faces measured at top, mid and bottom.

Found anomaly on "drip edge" ( I left part draining overnight) discounting that measurement till I re-run.

Pre-scale (xyz): 9.85 x 9.85 x 10.15
Post-scale (xyz): 9.97 x 9.91 x 10.0

Haven't made any more tries with the scale adjustment. Have printed several test strips of holes for sizing etc, so probably will wait a while now before I try again.

Even with where the settings are now, we're getting pretty decent results. Here's two test pieces, part of a propeller. They were done to test the post-hole fit. Had to do a couple of attempts to get the post the right height (was modeled with same clearance all around, but still had to shorten it .012"). The prop surfaces aligned quite well.
