This one looks to have wavelength of 385-400nm

It's only 5 digits off of 405nm....but if you recall we are told 395-405nm is the wave length to pay attention to. This one is still in between enough, right?

I imagine that the wavelength reported is the peak of the output, but there will be some spillover into those near wavelengths. You would need a laser to have a very specific impulse wavelength and not a slightly spread curve.

For example, the Ember clear resin uses a photoinitiator called "2,4,6-Trimethylbenzoyl-diphenyl-phosphineoxide". According to its datasheet from Esstech, it has an absorption range of 230-430 nm with a 385 nm peak.

If you can target the peak absorption point, then you need less energy and time. If you are in the range, you need more energy and time to get the same amount of cure.

You should be fine being off by 5 nm. ;-)

I would think the 20w Quans lights would work just fine. The only difference is the amount of UV light chips. The 20w have 20 chips and the 30w have 30 chips. the rest of the specs are the same.

I grew weary of waiting on amazon getting the ( 30w or 50w Quans or not listed anymore) so I ordered the 20's (two). I should have them by July 5th or so and will let ya'll know how it works out. Talked with Mark and I will create two brackets to lock the two lamps in a "A" frame fashion instead of using tape. The heat is a factor when leaving on a while, so the brackets should be the ticket. I have mirror plates and that will work nicely on the two open sides with a little extrapolation to attach them. As a platform to put it all on, I have two turntables as a display in our showcases. I'll use one to constantly rotate the resin models for about 3 hours and then boil them in distilled water for three cycles and then tree up and invest.
