Cast the billfish ring today and it came out perfect. Some of the detail is .05mm or smaller. Here are a few pics of the wire brushed raw casting.

Yes 3 seconds a layer if you use 3.

I would like to add that changing the buffer to a high number like that is not always necessary. In fact 99% of the time it's not needed, and simply just takes longer to print.

The reason it works well in the case of this band, is because it's sitting flat and that slows down the flow of resin. A longer buffer time simply waits longer for the resin to stop moving before exposing the next layer, giving you sharper details.

I think 2 seconds might have had the same effect.
