Yes, happened to me once. The print just cracked. Not sure what caused it, but maybe resin shrinkage related.
Try re-orienting the model slightly. Probably a weak spot somewhere.

Nice!! What metal is that ring with the cats?? How did you give it the black color? I've been looking for ages to make black durable jewelry
Re: Ben's Prints
It could be that ruthenium plating which is darker than black rhodium.
Re: Ben's Prints
Yes, it is black ruthenium plating from Rio Grande. It has to be mixed perfectly at specific temperature (we still haven't mastered the process) sometimes it seems to wear off pretty quickly and sometimes it doesn't.
Re: Ben's Prints
Rio's info on the black ruthenium didn't seem to be too picky, but thanks for sharing it isn't as easy as it seemed.
I'd have to get one of those heat/stir plate combos with the temperature sensor to set the correct temperature. It is too easy to overheat the solution without that feedback.

Re: Ben's Prints
Yeah, I think our main issue is that our heat/stir plate does not have a digital temperature gauge. it just has a nob that you turn to increase or decrease the temp. that is really touchy. I think if you had a digital one it should be no problem.
Re: Ben's Prints
70% Waxcast 20% emerald 5% cherry just to see what would happen. Turns light green when cured. It didn't quite come out fully, but I am loving these Contour auto supports.
Re: Ben's Prints
Ha trying to use all those different resins aren't you B!!!!! I to am liking the auto supports for those more difficult pieces to support.
