Detail comparison of the Solus and the Form2

Postby Tom Mathis » Thu Sep 22, 2016 12:15 pm

I printed these Loyola championship rings at 25 microns on the Solus and the Form2. I used the castable resin in both printers. Quite a difference in the detail from the Solus on the left and the Form2 on the right. I really couldn't use the Form2 print for this customer. I would have had to send the file off to get printed if it were not for the Solus.

Wow Tom. That's a huge difference. I'm guessing the laser spot of the form2 is not small enough to get into those tight areas.

Looked like some overexposure on the Form2. I assume you could manipulate the timing on the Form2, but if that Solus print was with default parameters for the B9 emerald, that is plug-n-play! :)
