I am curious to see your casting outcome.

Engraving/lettering on a model makes for a tricky cast.

Please post a picture of your raw casting tree(good or bad).

Hope everything comes out perfect for you.

Impressive. I'd like to see the cast as well. Engravings are trouble for me.

The big thing with engravings is to paint the recessed areas/lettering with investment before investing the flask. Let it set up just a little before investing in the flask.

@Jewelermdt:

What did you mean with painting the letering with investment before investing the flask ?

Best regards from austria :)

I use an art paint brush to put investment into the lettering. you need to dab it in or air will get trapped. Let it set up a little before investing in flask. Something like that band, you might have to go over it a couple times. This is why you get fill in of metal. These little air bubbles don't get out with vacuum sometimes.

Great tip thank you. I did have a little trouble with the solus cast. Still trying to dial it in. I ended up regrowing it in the emerald green just to get it done.
