How much memory do you have on your PC and how large are the files?

Are you using 25xy, set up for 42xy and you should be able to do more rings at a time.

Re: Auto Supports and Manual Supports now in Contour!
My machine crashes when doing slice previews on Contour 1.3 too. I haven't checked file size, but not very large.
If I don't preview it works just fine.
Another bug I've found is where I use two machines - one to develop files and one to print. If I do that with Contour supports the scene file does not carry the saved supports over properly. The support position, tip type carries over, but some of the other variables (noticeably base diameter) do not and the default is used instead. Not a big deal, and I can work around this, but a fix would be nice.
Generally though the support function is pretty nice and easy to use.

Did you by any chance increase the Anti-aliasing to high? Leave it on Medium. You're probably running out of memory on your pc.

I believe AA is off.
I'd need to check though as I have not changed that for a while. I do know I have never set to high though.

Re: Auto Supports and Manual Supports now in Contour!
I have remade the files on my CAD PC and I dropbox them across, the largest file is 3.06mb, I have 4gb Ram and over 400gb of space left as I put the bare minimum on that laptop,
@Jewelermdt, I'm printing 6mm weds in 25xy so hence why I can only just fit 5, I do have 3mm weds which I could fit more on but want to stick to 5 at a time so I know how many I have done, I'd rather not change to 42xy as I've not used it before and am only just able to print as it is,
Reify has connected to my PC this morning and thinks it’s a memory issue, I’ve managed to get a print going by checking the slices with the slider not the arrows, will see how it turns out later

Did you plan to save the support configuration on the soluscene file? It could be useful! I prepare my file on my workstation than transfert it to my Solus laptop.

It already does that. It saves the support data in scene files.
