New B9 Resins

Postby toddmichael » Sun Dec 13, 2015 11:13 pm

I came across new resins posted on the B9 site, called B9R-3 Emerald Resin, and B9R-4 Yellow. They are boasting the yellow is the ultimate casting resin, saw some results posted on the b9 site. Claims, satin cast-20 and scrap metal, looks pretty darn good.

Anybody, Anybody any thoughts?

Did you order the Emerald or the Yellow?

I have been told most of my issues are resin based problems, so until the specially formulated
Solus resin is available, to get better prints I am very interested?

I ordered the yellow. I have my Solus for 2 months and used 2/3 of the cherry. I would like to use two different resin.

Sounds good. Maybe you can also share your settings and we can make a profile available for people to download. ;)

Sadly haven't had much luck so far

This is at 85% the exposure time of cherry with supports that worked for Cherry

Received mine today. This is what I'm thinking
If I can remember by math
Cherry exposure factor
12.01765853 /25 =.480763412 per layer B9
This equals Solus 2800 ms 25 microns

Yellow exposure factor
7.6410228 /20 =.382080114 per layer
.382080114* 25 = 9.55202285
9.55202285 / 120165853 = .79483060915
about little more than 20% of 2800ms 2240 ms??

I'm only guessing on all of this
