Thank you, I should have asked should the Soluswax be UV cured dry, not under water?

Re: Solus Wax Resin
Try increasing the exposure time a little. Also use the lattice grid base option for more stability.
Another suggestion is to setup your machine at 42xy. It's easier to focus more uniformly, especially if you use the entire build area at 25xy, then you should be using 42xy.

Re: Solus Wax Resin
I have never printed at 42 xy, I have been super happy with the detail I have been getting with emerald in 25xy,25z, would I sacrifice the detail going to 42 xy?
it's been a while sense my original set up, once the machine is running well I hate to move it.
When you have time can you please point me to the instructions for setting up for 42 xy, I have the extra lens set and I assume I move the metal plate back. Do I need to re-calibrate the projector again?
I am also wondering about my bulb life and thinking about getting a replacement to have on hand, I have the InFocus 8606D projector.
Thank you,
Michael

Yes. That’s why I suggested increasing the exposure time. Could help if you have an old bulb. If it has more than 1500 hours then only a replacement bulb will help.

Go here and watch carefully. Maybe watch on a computer while setting up the printer and projector.

Should also be in the printed manual.
Re: Solus Wax Resin
so Im printing now after I had left the resin in the vat for about 10 days without growing anything , I strained the resin then tried cleaning off the resin with the silicon spatula and noticed that the film was very VERY foggy , I tried pushing down with the spatula more inorder to get what looked like dried stuck wax off my film , when I was not able to get a clear clean result I decided to use a pac cloth and a little iso and clean it with that ,it worked as far as a clean clear film , I know that's not recommended but I felt it was either that or a new film when I felt this film was fine , I thought that if I can only somehow heat the vat and film , the wax would dissolve off and not slick
well , lets see what grows ???

Re: Solus Wax Resin
You should use the spatula to get the white residue integrated back into the resin. Only take a minute or so. If you want you can also use a hair dryer to warm up the resin from the bottom of the tank and then mix. Cleaning off that white residue with alcohol is not a good idea.

Re: Solus Wax Resin
its just that the foggy film kept me from seeing the condition of the film , to see if it needs replacing , Ill buy a hair drier
