Hello everyone,
I was wondering if anybody had any suggestions on the settings for the red castable resin by Fun to Do. I have a bottle and was thinking about just trying it with the B9 cherry settings or emerald settings or it could turn out to be a disaster.
Thoughts are greatly appreciated.

Don't do that. The ftd red is extremely fast. You need to put the uv filter back in. Settings 1.5s for layer exposure, 7s for base layer, for 30 micron layers.
Oh and need to change the projector mode to Normal instead of Eco.

Hmm, Might not be worth the effort and changes, stick with green for now. I might look into maker green/emerald green and wait for Solus Castable resin...... Thanks again!

The FTD resins have less pigment than for instance the B9 resins. So let's say you are printing a cube with fine detail on all sides, you're going to run into problems on the horizontal surface facing up. The light from the projector can shine through the resin and harden out uncured resin laying on top of the already cured layers. I've mixed my FTD red with some B9 Cherry and that solved the problem. Just like Monger said, it cures crazy fast, after adding the B9 it will take a bit longer to cure.

Just get the yellow resin it casts wonderfully. The cherry casts good too.
