Emerald green resin from b9_first try

Postby kghjewelry » Sat May 28, 2016 5:53 pm

I got my printer set up. Mechanically every thing appears to be working correctly. The resin is not curing and building the model. I removed the UV lens from the projector and believe I did all the setups. What do I need to check?

Nothing is curing? That's impossible, unless the UV filter (the one on the bulb) is still on there.

Did you remove the orange shutter from infront of the printer window?

Check the inside of your resin tank. Is there something cured there?

The orange shutter has been removed, the UV filter was removed like Appendix I and nothing is cured in the tank. Are there slice setting I need to change?

Slice thickness .030
exposure time is 2800
bottom exposure is 16000
bottom layer 3
enable slice 4

Are you sure the projector is even projecting? Can you see the layers being projecting at even intervals?

Maybe your DISPLAY number is different, and it's not outputting through the projector.

Your settings look correct, so it would be technically impossible for nothing to cure in the tank, if light is projected in there.

I'll email you on Tuesday. I can see the slice of the support in the vat coming from the projector.

Post a picture of your set up. You did calibrate the gird to the correct size? Focus turning the lens and fill gird to size using the Zoom.

I focused and measured using a caliber just like in the video.

The problem was lack of proper supports and printing the grid at the same time as the model.
